18 Browser

Privacy Policy

Effective 18 August 2026

18 Browser is operated by Not Be Limited (“we”, “us”). This policy describes how we handle information when you use the 18 Browser iOS and Android app and the website at 18-plus.app.

Questions: legal@18-plus.app.

The website

18-plus.app is a static site. We do not set cookies, create accounts, or run analytics on the website itself.

18 Browser

18 Browser is a web browser. You must be 18 or older to use it. Related terms are in our Terms of Use.

Account

Signing in is optional. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and, depending on the provider and your choices, an email address. We use Firebase Authentication to provide that sign-in.

A one-hour welcome browsing credit can be claimed once per account.

Information stored in the cloud

If you are signed in, we sync the following to our servers (Firebase / Firestore):

  • Bookmarks (URL and title)
  • Browsing history (URL, title, and time)
  • App settings, such as theme, language, and search engine
  • A hash of your optional passcode, not the passcode itself
  • Whether the welcome browsing credit has been claimed

You can delete your account in Settings. That removes this cloud data and your account.

Information that stays on your device

The following stay on the device and are not synced:

  • Open tabs
  • Remaining free browsing time
  • Network-routing preference
  • Whether you have completed onboarding

Incognito tabs are not saved to history and are not synced. They are closed when you force-quit the app, or when the system stops it after a long period of inactivity.

Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. We record screen views and a domain-visited event that includes the hostname of pages you open (not the full URL). That hostname event can also fire while you are using Incognito.

Ads

You can watch a rewarded ad (Google AdMob) for extra browsing time. On iOS we may ask for App Tracking Transparency permission so ads can be more relevant. You can decline.

Google may collect device and advertising identifiers and similar data as described in Google’s policies.

Purchases

Paid plans are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed with RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status (whether you have unlimited browsing). Apple or Google handle your payment details.

Network routing

The app may route some browsing traffic through our servers so destinations can load. HTTPS to the destination site stays end-to-end encrypted. We may process connection metadata such as destination hostname, time, and data volume to operate, secure, and debug the service.

Sites you visit

Pages you open in 18 Browser are third-party sites. They have their own privacy practices. We do not control what they collect.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide the app, accounts, sync, and browsing time
  • Process purchases and ads
  • Understand usage and keep the service reliable
  • Comply with law and enforce our terms

Sharing

We share information with service providers who help us run 18 Browser, including Google (Firebase, Analytics, AdMob, and Sign in with Google), Apple (Sign in with Apple and the App Store), and RevenueCat. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect Not Be Limited, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

Children

18 Browser is for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the app, contact us and we will delete related account data.

Your choices

  • Use the app without an account
  • Sign out
  • Delete your account in Settings (this removes cloud data)
  • Clear browsing data in the app
  • Decline tracking permission on iOS
  • Cancel subscriptions with Apple or Google

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
